Swing Bike

Timeframe: Spring 2015

The swing bike came about when a friend gave me an old Sears three speed cruiser bicycle and an old mountain bike with poor frame geometry. With a classic, easy riding frame, the Sears bike was the obvious choice for the base frame for the swing bike and the mountain bike offered a heavy duty steer tube to use as a seat post pivot. The original frame geometry was maintained by cutting and connecting top tube to the new seat post pivot while leaving the bottom tube attached. once the top tube was reconnected to the bike the bottom tube was cut and welded the seat tube pivot.
